University of Wyoming Hat Ball

SING HAT COMPANY

At Sing Hat Company, our hats are not just accessories. They represent our passion, dedication and unwavering commitment to superior quality and western culture. Each hat we create is a bespoke masterpiece – a living testament to true artistry. We create heirlooms, not just hats, meant to be treasured and passed down through generations.

We are so excited to be invited to share our craft at the Art Museum's Gala this year. Schedule a fitting during the evening to start the process for a fully custom bespoke hat, browse our limited collection of ready to wear felt and palm leaf hats that can be fitted and styled same day, or just stop by to learn more about the art of hatmaking.

Find us in the Legacy Room throughout the evening.

To ensure the best fit for your bespoke hat, it all begins with a precise measurement of your head. This allows us to capture the unique contours of your head with our custom hat fitting device, ensuring a perfect fit and unparalleled comfort.

In addition to a soft tape measuring, we use a custom hat fitting device to obtain the exact shape of your head. We will craft a wooded band block or retaining block to craft your hat to that exact shape.

During your appointment we will also help you choose your color, style and finishes for your custom hat. View our custom hat ordering guide for our current options.

The $50 deposit to secure your fitting appointment will be applied to the balance of your custom hat. A nonrefundable 50% deposit will be due at the time of the fitting. The final balance will be due upon completion of your hat. Please note that due to universal supply chain back orders and our order queue - select colors and sizes can expect an 8-12 month average turn around, in stock colors and sizes can expect a 6-8 month average turn around.

*An appointment is only required for custom hat orders. You must be an attendee of the UW Gala to schedule a fitting.*

UW ART MUSEUM GALA 2024

UW ART MUSEUM GALA 2024

The 2024 Gala theme mirrors an iconic sculpture, Cowgirl Hat Ball, that introduces The New West, a major exhibition celebrating Wyoming's place in the West, and the 50th anniversary of the UW Art Museum, with artworks from the permanent collection.

This fundraising event provides essential support for the museum’s programs, which serve Wyoming’s communities, teachers, faculty, students, and visitors. Over 50% of the UW Art Museum’s annual operating budget comes from private donations, including Gala proceeds. In addition to high-quality exhibitions and a growing collection, the museum’s education programs increase critical and independent thinking skills, promote collaboration, and contribute to student preparedness in our global society.

The Hat Ball will be a festive evening of Western elegance, fine food, libations, music, and friendship, all to support the extensive programs of the UW Art Museum.
